Constable is by the sensational eventing stallion Contenda who was campaigned by Shane Rose. Constable carries the fantastic jumping blood of Contender from Germany which is still today one of the main jumping dynasties and totally blue chip. Through Contenda, Constable also carries the thoroughbred blood of Bolero. Indeed the Bolero bloodline in Germany is today considered a dressage dynasty. 

 On the dam side Constable is out of a mare which is by Gribaldi. Gribaldi is also the sire of the dressage sensation Totilas. Usually when you cross a great jumping line with a great dressage line you do not get a superstar jumper and you do not get a superstar dressage horse. The resulting offspring is often an athlete and a good horse but no longer right on the edge. To my surprise Constable is the best jumping horse I have ever ridden and he is extremely careful to the point where he could be a very successful straight showjumper. He also moves really well and produces very good looking progeny. The foals from this stallion are unexpectedly really commercial and although early days at this point in time, his young stock that we have bred and are starting to train do seem to be extra ordinarily talented over fences. Ultimately I expect to breed eventers that are maybe the most advanced and talented eventers in the world. Getting eventers that can move and jump extraordinarily well is nearly impossible. 

At the end of 2016 Wimborne Constable won the 2* Wallaby Hill Three Day Event and since then has gone on to perform well at 3* and in 2018 Constable started his 4* career and has had much success. Constable is the only stallion in Australia competing at the top levels in eventing.
