Total Romance

Total Romance is by For Romance which is only available in Australia via frozen semen. For Romance is the epitome of a model sire stemming from a very successful Voltaire dam line. For Romance has three very fancy paces, and his temperament is also remarkable. He stood out brilliantly in a strong lot of stallions at the 2011 Oldenburg licensing, and the enthusiastic spectators in Vechta gave him standing ovations. As expected, For Romance won his 30-day test in Schlieckau with super scores. He received a 9.25 for his trot and rideability, a 9.0 for his canter, and an 8.88 for character. For Romance I OLD has been campaigned in National Grand Prix classes by Olympic Swedish rider Therese Nilshagen. In these Grand Prix classes, For Romance I has already started placing. In 2019, he was winner of the main premium, Bundeschampionat qualifier and Burg-Pokal finalist and was honored for this as VTV Dressage Stallion of the Year.

For Romance is the most beautiful looking stallion and does throw foals that turn into magnificent types and foals that move very well and foals that demand high prices in public auctions.

For Romance is also the sire of a youngster which Emma Bishop recently sold for $37,000.00. We have a short video clip available of this colt.

On Total Romance’s dam line is the Totilas mare Top of the Morning R. Top of the Morning R has already produced Ryan’s next superstar young colt, Drumming R, by De Niro. Drumming R is now a rising 5 year old which Heath rides every day and is beginning to look really exciting. Heath also rides Top of the Morning R every day. Top of the Morning R has magnificent paces and we are fairly confident she has international talent especially in the piaffe and passage. Top of the Morning R has continued to have a successful embryo transfer each breeding season. This has meant that Top of the Morning R can stay in full work. Top of the Morning R has been out to a handful of local dressage competitions where she has won most of her medium starts with scores over 70%. Top of the Morning R is by Totilas. 

Totilas is still considered today as being the most amazing dressage horse ever seen in the world and we are unlikely to see another horse like him for another 100 years. Totilas broke all world records and was a living legend. The Totilas bloodlines are already starting to impact on the world competition scene and the results look breathtaking with the Dutch Olympic Team at Tokyo having three out of four team members riding Totilas youngsters. Perhaps the best current examples are the Totilas young stallions Glocks Total US ridden by Edward Gal and Glocks Toto Jr ridden by Hans Peter Minderhous. Total Romance has some of the most exciting genetics anywhere in the world. In Australia he certainly would challenge any other two year old for the title of being the best bred young dressage horse in the Southern Hemisphere. Total Romance is a young black colt in the paddock who moves to take your breath away. This is the very first time that Australia has seen this youngster and we think he has the makings of an Australian legend.
