Milchomi R

Sire: Brilliant Invader  Dam: Bud

Brown mare 16hh

Milchomi R is a thoroughbred mare by the thoroughbred stallion Brilliant Invader. Brilliant Invader was a magnificent eventing sire including Ready Teddy who under Blyth Tait won the individual Gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and in 1998 won the individual and team Gold at the 1998 Rome World Equestrian Games. Interestingly Brilliant Invader was out of a mare called Persian Bronze who in turn is by Agricola. Agricola sired a little thoroughbred called Apache who was a freak show jumper and was ridden by Vicki Roycroft and is still to this day the only Australian horse to win a World Cup qualifier in the Northern Hemisphere. Milchomi R was bred by my younger brother Matt Ryan who has three Olympic gold medals to his name. I broke this mare in when she was 8 years of age and she was very exciting in terms of talent. I sold her as a 10 year old for $40,000 just as she was starting to win the lower grades. Anyhow her rider didn’t get on with her and I bought her back just because I thought she was state of the art in terms of her likely contribution to an Olympic gold medallist.
