Drumfire R is a striking young colt who has the best of the best bloodlines and incredible movement. Drumfire R is by the black stallion Drumming R who combines some of the best dressage genetics in the world right now.

Drumming R is by the great Grand Prix stallion Deniro who was in the top 10 WBFSH rankings for dressage sires for 10 years and 6 of those years was ranked number 1 in the world! Deniro has produced so far 97 Grand Prix offspring. There are many direct Deniro offspring who have competed at Olympics Games, Worlds Cups and World Championships. These include Desperados with Kristina Broring-Sprehe who won individual bronze and team gold medals at the Rio Olympic games in 2016. Delgado and Beatriz Ferrer-Salat who also competed at the Rio Olympic Games finishing 10th in the Grand Prix Freestyle for Spain. Donnerfee and Claudia Fassaert who competed at the 2012 London Olympic games and Australia’s Kristy Oatley and Du Soleil who competed at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. All of these horses are by Deniro who is also the father of Drumming R who in turn is the father of Drumfire R.

The mother of Drumming R, Top Of The Morning R, is currently being campaigned by Heath Ryan and is competing successfully at medium level and is showing huge potential for the high level movements with great talent for piaffe and passage. Top Of The Morning R is by the legendary stallion Totilas. Totilas is still considered today as being one of the most amazing dressage horses ever seen, he broke all world records, and we are unlikely to see another horse like him for another 100 years. However, Edward Gal (Totilas’ previous rider) has said that he believes the two Totilas sons he is currently campaigning at Grand Prix, Toto Jr and Total US are as good as Totilas himself and perhaps are going to be better in time! Maybe he is right however, he is the only person in the world qualified to make a statement like that! Total US competed at the Tokyo Olympic Games with Edward Gal in the saddle for the Netherlands and scored an impressive 84.15% in the Freestyle which placed him 6th in the individual competition. This is incredible considering the stallion is only aged 9 and has not been competing at Grand Prix for long at all! There was also two other Totilas offspring competing at the Tokyo Olympic Games including Go Legend ridden by Marlies Van Baalen and Te Quiero SFI ridden by Austrian Christian Schumach. So, in total there were 3 Totilas offspring competing at the Tokyo Olympic games! Considering these are the first of Totilas’ progeny it is fair to say there is much more to come from this bloodline in the future. Totilas is currently placed 7th on the WBFSH Sire rankings.

So, as far as Drumfire R is concerned it means the Deniro blood that he carries and the Totilas blood that he carries are both proving to have the ability to pass these performance genetics on to their offspring. Both the Deniro blood and the Totilas blood is considered to be the best of the best and right now both bloodlines are going forward reaching out into the future.

Drumfire R is the future!

Drumfire R’s dam Quoge R is also just full of genetics which are right now impacting on dressage results the world over. Quoge R is by the very tall liver chestnut stallion Questing R. Questing R right now is the talk of the town, being the sire of Quizzical R and BZ Qantas who both performed amazingly well in the 4yo young horse class at the Sydney CDI 2021. Quizzical R scored 93.6% with his rider Tyler Bain. This was far and away the highest score of any class at the whole CDI show. Maybe an Australian record! Questing R himself is currently competing and winning at Advanced level and is about to have his first Prix St George start. So that is local or Australian commentary which is interesting enough but the Questing R bloodline is also making a surge on the international arena.

Questing R is by Quarterback who is currently ranked 5th in the WBFSH Sire Rankings. Quaterback is the sire of Isabell Werth's top young Grand Prix horse DSP Quantaz who is already scoring 10s for piaffe and passage and who won the Grand Prix Freestyle at Aachen in 2021 with 88.3%. DSP Quantaz is probably about to become the top horse in the world or one of them as Isabelle is retiring Bella Rose (Team gold medallist and individual silver medallist at Tokyo Olympics 2021) and Weihegold OLD (individual silver medallist and team gold medallist at Rio Olympics 2016). Isabell has just been selected on the German Team of DSP Quantaz for the 2022 World Championships in Herning, Denmark on 6th to 10th August.

Quaterback was also represented at the Tokyo Olympics with the lovely Quarterback Junior FRH who was ridden by Nicolas Wagner Ehlinger. The leading Swedish rider in Patrik Kittel, is right now riding a Quarterback called Touchdown. Touchdown has already won 5* International Grand Prix classes and we anticipate being on the Swedish Team at the World Equestrian Championships and also being in contention for an Individual Medal. We think Quaterback is going to become a whole new Olympic dressage dynasty with everybody trying to get some of the action.

Drumfire R’s grand dam is Rouge R who after having Drumfire R’s mother Quoge R, was broken in and put through Auction of the Stars and was being prepared and ridden by Sappho Ranson Elliot for the Auction. Sappho fell in love with Rouge R and decided to buy her. This partnership has continued to grow, and Rouge R is now training through all the Grand Prix movements and is looking to potentially be a superstar! Sappho has recently sold her Grand Prix gelding Ronan R so all of her focus is now being put into Rouge R. Go Sappho and Rouge and we are all cheering for you!

Rouge R is by the Grand Prix stallion Regardez Moi who on three separate occasions has been the Australian Grand Prix Champion and represented Australia at the World Cup finals in Las Vegas. Regardez Moi is the sire of Utopian Cardinal who was crowned the Australian Grand Prix Champion for 2016.

So again, even just on the dam side Drumfire R is full of just the best Grand Prix genetics challenging the world at this very moment.

Drumfire R combining his sire’s bloodlines and his mother’s bloodlines has to be deemed a very likely international top performer in the future.

Drumfire R will be 11 years of age in 2032 which is the Brisbane Olympics which does mean he will be the perfect age to be part of the Australian dressage team. Certainly there will be no foals better bred in Australia right this moment for the Brisbane Olympics.

Drumfire R is currently being weaned, handled, having his legs picked up, being put on the walker every day, learning to lunge and being scratched and encouraged to trust people. He is naturally very quiet and inquisitive and ready for the next big step to find an owner who will love him and head out on a very exciting journey.
