Vivaldi’s Royal Knight is known as Fudgie and is a beautiful moving big youngster. He is still a gangly teenager at the moment but is showing all the signs of developing into an elegant swan as he matures. The paces are good to very good, big walk with a great four-beat walk march rhythm, trot has great swing through the back, lots of bend and expression through knees and hocks and a natural affiliation with medium trot, canter is big round and expressive and yet has wonderful natural balance and so is very comfortable to ride and will cruise around the dressage arena with great agility and accuracy. Fudgie has started all two-track work and finds this aspect of training very easy. Fudgie was bought as a youngster for his teenage girl owner but has since grown too tall.
Fudgie is by Vivaldi who is probably the most outstanding son of the Grand Prix dressage stallion Valuta. Fudgie is out of Northern Lorina II who is by Falkland Victory who in turn is recognised throughout Australia as being a very influential sire of Advanced dressage horses. Fudgie is currently schooling with Heath Ryan and is for sale for $35,000. This is probably a lesser price than is what is achievable however Fudgie is a situation where it is time to move on.
