Further Information

Chestnut gelding bought by Sappho from Gordon Bishop. Gordon Bishop actually bought Hey Mish from Kendelle Osbourne who at the time was riding track work at Newcastle racetrack and so was doing a little bit of slow racehorse wheeling and dealing on the side. Gordon ended up getting very frustrated with Hey Mish as the horse was very opinionated for a 3yo. Sappho just happened to be in the right place at the right time when Hey Mish and Gordon's relationship was at one of its lowest ebbs. Sappho bought Hey Mish for $200! For quite some time the partnership of Hey Mish and Sappho did struggle and at Ryans Hey Mish was dubbed the "crying horse" because sappho could be found crying on different occasions whilst trying to ride him. If Sappho is anything, she is determined and thank goodness the partnership has done a u-turn and Hey Mish is now starting to look seriously exciting and very talented. Hey Mish is a bit of a thoroughbred in the dressage arena but is also an athlete and a quick learner. At the very young age of six he is competing successfully in medium level dressage, confidently galloping around one-star ODE's and showing real flair show-jumping, being more than comfortable on 1.20m tracks. Hey Mish will without a doubt go 4-star eventing and Sappho is determined to make the Australian Team.
