New Equine Influenza Threat

Do you realise there is a new equine influenza (EI) threat to Australia and in my opinion we all need to do something about it whether we are Pony Clubbers, part-time breeders, recreational riders, competition riders or just horse-lovers.

Never before have I released my column in The Horse Magazine prior to publication but this is the first time and only time it will happen simply because by the time it is available in the news-stands some critical dates will have passed. Auction at Canberra This Weekend

This weekend – April 17^th & 18^th 2010 the Auction of the Stars will be performing at the Exhibition Park in Canberra as part of Equinex National Horse Expo.

The two leading Australian Grand Prix Stallions, Regardez Moi and Jive Magic will be performing in a Masterclass along with four other stallions, Byalee Romance, Byalee Briar, AEA Tuschinski and AEA Metallic on Saturday at 7pm. Also on Saturday are the foal parades; the first at 10am and the second at 3pm. A boutique auction of just 6 hand-picked foals will commence at 3pm on Sunday. Traditionally these auctions are always started with an unreserved sale of stallion service fees to all six stallions who performed in the masterclass on the evening prior. Invariably the auction is great value for money and already young-stock purchased through this facility are performing with great success globally.
